Abstract

The aims of the study were to determine the social reality of family life undergoing early marriage in Olayama Village, Huruna District, South Nias Regency and how the impact of early marriage on families in Olayama Village, Huruna District, South Nias Regency. The basis of this research is a case study in qualitative approach. The location chosen by the author in this study was Olayama Village, Huruna District, South Nias Regency. The data collection procedure in this study used observation, interviews and documentation. The researcher has conducted with the title Social Reality of Family Life Undergoing Early Marriage in Olayama Village, Huruna District, South Nias Regency. The results were obtained that the impacts of early marriage on families in Olayama Village are Impact on husband and wife. This is due to a lack of self-control in controlling emotions when faced with family problems. Education is still low and does not have a permanent job so that family needs are not met and create less harmonious relationships. In addition, couples who still want to enjoy their youth will do things that can damage their household, namely having relationships with other people, impact on children born. For women who have early marriages, they will experience problems or disorders in their pregnancy that can endanger the child, especially during the birth process.
