SURVEY OF BASIC TECHNIQUE SKILLS FOR LOWER PASSING AND UPPER SERVICE AT SBV PBVSI VOLLEYBALL CLUB HIGH CLIFFS CITY

This research aims to determine the contribution between the ability of lower passing, upper passing and upper serving to the volleyball playing ability of SBV PBVSI volleyball athletes in Tebing Tinggi City both individually and together. This research is correlational research. The subjects of this research were students aged 16-18 years who took part in SBV PBVSI Tebing Tinggi City, totaling 15 people. Data were collected using tests and measurements with instruments in the form of a modification of the Braddy Volleyball Test for variables of ability to play volleyball, lower passing test, upper passing test and upper serve test. Data analysis techniques use regression analysis, Pearson product moment correlation, multiple correlation, through prerequisite tests for normality and homogeneity. The research results showed that there was a significant contribution between bottom passing ability and volleyball playing ability of 29.2%. There is a significant contribution between top passing ability and volleyball playing ability of 48.86%. There is a significant contribution between top serving ability and volleyball playing ability of 21.51%. There is a significant contribution between the ability of lower passing, upper passing and upper serving to SBV PBVSI Tebing Tinggi City's volleyball playing ability, namely 64.63%.
